Making fighting more about skill?

In the late game there are going to be a small group of people who cannot be beaten by anyone simply because they've stayed alive and their stats are wayyyyy higher than anyone else's. So could you think about changing the fighting system so that it isnt all about the stats? Of course having better stats should be an advantage, but balance it somehow?

It isn't all about the stats.

It's not even MOSTLY about the stats, though Agility is significantly important.

Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.
