Deconstruct

I've seen similar suggestions but couldn't find a recent one...

It would be a new command, similar to destroy, but taking a lot more of time to complete (like 3 times more)
Instead of completely vanquishing the items, you would get some of the materials back. Maybe half of every material - or maybe just one type of material (for example, the new chair/tables would yield only the leather back, not the wood)

There could also be a slight quality reduction to prevent a complete recycle and be used only as building convenience :P

No big deal, It just feels wrong that destroying stuff makes all the materials completely disappear. What do we use, antimatter?

Yeah, a lot of other games have it and I wish we did too, I know Jorb has answered this one before with a reason why we can't, or don't, but tbh I forget what it was .... but it does seem a shame to lose all those materials when you need to rectify a mistake or upgrade builds.

Yeah :D

Another thing that would be cool: a "reform" option to allow us to change the colors of a building/furniture/etc without having to destroy/rebuild the whole thing. It would be okay to lose the former items, no worries, but just allow us to swap them for new ones...

For example: Let's say I have a spruce thatched Stone Mansion, why do I have to take it down to change the thatching to barley straw? It's perfectly reasonable to be able to just remove the spruce thatching and place straw :P
