To be fair, I think it's a mostly good thing that foraging is relatively low-key. Having to go out and just search randomly for basic stuff is what I considered one of the largest mistakes of Salem. I would like something to incentivize people to get out from their walled compounds and explore the world, but I don't really think that is what foraging encourages.

Fair enough stance. As long as its a design choice you guys made I guess I can live with it.

Well, as of right now there's no other incentive than hunting and foraging. You could always make curio foraging more fun though, I don't see the harm in foraging being incentive to going out...

The problem isn't foraging acting as an incentive, but the fact that foraging being highly rewarding cause forage bots to super power factions that had them.

Which sucks, because in general foraging was a fairly enjoyable activity for humans. Like a walking slot machine.

LOL add randomly spawned Are you a bot thing, if a hearthling find a worthwhile forageable, then spawn a forest spirit to test the hearthling, through some maze question perhaps, or some are you a bot tests, if they pass, then the hearthling gets to keep the forageable, otherwise, it is taken away.

I agree with making more worth searching forageables, staying inside walls can be pretty boring. and this are u a bot thing MUST be implied to the game, autostudy and bot usage will be gone (and the game is for actual players with risks like dying, not just tons of bots to do everything while u watch movies...)

my personal opppinion, either way +1 to the topic

rye130 wrote:Right now foraging anything besides glimmermoss is pretty pointless. Before people just forage botted the good curios because they were the best in the game. Now no one forages because most of them aren't close to the best and most of the ones that are good, are fated and unreliable to get.

A better balance needs to be found!

Can confirm

Went foraging and after returning with every cave/mountain curio other than an edel I had a total study of like 7k LP
