personally i work on the 50p/£1/£2 ideal
If i can enjoy a game to pass the time. its worth 50p an hour. If i get enough hours that totals the cost of the game, im happy.
If i look forward to getting home to play the game, its immersive or unique. its a £1 an hour.
If its an absolute cracker (lets say fall out 4) i would be happy paying £2 an hour for that game. (for the record, FO4 cost me £39, i have played it for ~90 hours. Brining the cost of FO4 per hour to ~50p (47p i think). Good game, good cost for the time spent. Not including the time my GF spent playing it as well.)
Some games are worth their money to me, some are not. HnH... well, considering ive been playing the game on and off for about 6 years (yeiks!) paying a sub is something im willing to do, at least for now.
I do also understand that my wage is probably significantly higher than those in other nations. I am able to buy multiple games a month and then complain i don't have the time to play them all. So maybe because of this my opinion is invalid due to not fully understanding the reason of the "complaint"
