Colored Palisades

It has been mentioned before and the official answer from Jorb was that "Palisades have always the same color to prevent rainbow palisades".

I agree to it. 100% agree. Rainbow palisades would be ugly.
However, being able to 'customize' your palisade and have it look different - a darker, evil palisade... or perhaps a golden, pretty one... - would be cool.

So here's a little suggestion for the upcoming world:
What if the INITIAL CORNERPOST determines the colors of all extensions? So all palisades would have just one color, the one from the initial cornerpost. Different palisades would have different colors, of course, but the same palisade would always have the same colors... Block 1 can determine the 'bark' while block two determines the 'spear tips'

I think there are tons of awesome base customization to achieve if we can match pavement, houses AND palisades for beautiful aesthetics.
Same goes for the brickwall, though there are just two types of clay so far and it wouldn't make much of a difference. We could change the stone color, though :3

Simple, it would mean its more money to them.
Its less ugly since not everyone will do it.
It is still an option as an account upgrade. Giving that little perk.

But even then it means past a rainbow colored, you can use your pali as colored fencing.

Well, we have ugly houses around and it has never been a problem
It bugs me so much that I cut down some maple and my palisade comes out as pine xD

Although... Now that I'm thinking of it... they have stated before that it is 'complicated' (because of the way they arranged things) to change the colors of animated objects (charter stones and rocking chairs are animated and hence can't have different colors)
Since the Palisade gate is animated, I guess this should be fixed before any colored palisade ideas could come through

I agree colored palisades would be nice. However i do think it should be the color of the wood you use. Maybe someone wants that rainbow color. Maybe someone wants two tones or three. you could do all sorts of patterns that way.

As for paying for it, no.

Brickwall can now be painted in any color (just 2.5$ for one segment, gates counted as 2 segments)

i like this idea. the gate colour doesn't have to line up with the rest of the wall per se, and for brickwalls it doesn't matter anyway.

btw i suspect cave clay/blue bricks are gonna make it in on reboot.

I would certainly agree with that, if people want rainbow palisades, so be it But I'm afraid we would have more people not caring then caring, and it would be horrible

I tried to make my suggestion as a solution to rainbow palisades not because I don't want them but because Jorb & Loftar stated that they don't want them

Tbh, I do tend to agree with the devs on that one.

What would be nice though would be to be able to change the wood slightly and I agree with your first post, like a darker wood or lighter wood or even the coloured ones if all palisade is then done in the same colour, so, yes to the corner post idea -

Though personally I would leave the more garish colours out of any change if I were the devs ...
