Resources

As someone who has claimed many of them already before the most recent patch, I want to make a suggestion as to how to go about balancing that. I think they should all be moved, or randomized somehow. Regenerate them, but set their resources to nothing and let them refill naturally again. People don't lose their claims if they have their base around one, and then no one has them claimed.

Yeah, I have considered that as well. Might.

All that would do is require people to build new walls in new places. Haven has always had resource control with quality nodes, these are no different really.

That'd upset alot of people, because even if u didnt loose your claim and base, I bet lots of people chose the place for the base because of the recourses. Like I did. If they are moved, it would mean that many people will have to start their base again in a different place. Not too much of a big deal, but is annoying. However, maybe I'm writing this because I have claimed resources, but as well you might've written OP because you have none...

This is somehow similar to the metal ore situation: there were a little time gap in which some people had insane qualities, some not - and those who didn't use that time were really upset.

Not to mention that we have invested 4k lp to claim them even without a base around them, so I log on to an empty patch that just cost me 4k lp! As it was ok at that point to claim them you can't really justify that imo. Some have spent a fortune in lp claiming them, even if you are happy to lose that I doubt everyone will be, it would be terribly unfair!

The best way is still to either refund the lp or give us an option to declaim for the lp, as I said elsewhere, I'll happily declaim mine for the lp back now I no longer need the resource for the idol.

I don't see the point of trying to "fix" the grandfathered personal claims now. All you need is a village banner to nullify it right?

No that no longer works, if the claim was set down before the village claim goes over it attempting to "Revoke the Privilege" gets you a message saying that the personal claim preceded the village one.

If I'm understanding the siege system correctly though, catapults should work just fine.

If the special resources were moved randomly I would like that. The new balances with the latest update help. The only things I think that might further help would be make them subject to explore and perception as other items. I mean big images do attract the eye. That way they don't get hoarded in the future because I can just see some group building a wall around them, even if they cant claim. The only other hing is should should start empty or with one resource int hem maximum. This way its not an instant horde to be gobbled up.

As for Amanda's request for claim refunds if they moved, I can see that. All those together would restore most balance to things.

i think nerf the icicles and salt then make the other items more unique but not required
like brimstone/sulphur needs a use, how bout torches or craft interesting curio that's not very op

and how about adding a resource that can be consumed for experience? or make icicles give experience instead of clearing the study table ¦]
