Buckets & Ropes

Postby DaniAngione » Fri Apr 01, 2016 4:32 pm

There are two tools that you don't usually carry around all the time (unless you're drinking water from a bucket) but you end up using quite often.

Buckets and ropes. Most bases have baskets or containers and such with buckets/ropes around because they're so used on daily chores and such.

These requests are partly gameplay-oriented and partly aesthetically oriented :D

- Stockpiles for ropes. This has been asked a few times already but I'd like to add my voice to the chorus :P
- (Alternative) perhaps the ability to "hang" ropes on certain objects like Roundpole Fences, just like we hang stuff on walls. Not only would it look cool, it's also a good time/space saver.

- Stockpiles for Buckets (with a maximum amount of 1, perhaps? Or like... 2,3, 4 at most (on top of each other)) - I thought about asking for buckets to simply not despawn when on the ground, since they look so good next to wells or barrels. But I wondered if that could imply on some issues... so... a simple stockpile for buckets would be awesome already :D

Thanks :)

If you were to stockpile ropes they would become a big pile of rope spaghetti that would be impossible to untangle.

You clearly never visited or worked on a film set :D It's all about how you organize/pile it. You wouldn't believe the magic we can do with hundreds of meters of cables, ropes, cords and the dreadful XLR

Stockpiles for everything. Infinite capacity.

Well, 'capacity' is certainly a reason for why humanity decided to eventually pile up stuff. But since no one uses socks in the hearthlands, the gnomes probably steal the buckets and ropes we drop on the ground, I'm sure :D
