So basically it would be a mail box, something you could build in game, and with a mail box you could send items to another person through it with a postage stamp (I was thinking for the stamps they could be sold in the store for a small price, and have varying stamps, like one for just a package, lets say, 10 spaces, or one for a container, which could be like a cupboard worth of things and they would vary in price) and the mail boxes would have "passwords" on them to link them, similar to like a wilderness beacon or charter stones.
Now idk how hard it would be to make the trading real time, like you put in your items and you can see the other person put in their items as well, then be able to confirm the trade, that may be much harder to do then it sounds. But another thing I was thinking was that the trade wouldn't be instant, it would calculate how long it would take to travel in boat speed in a straight line to the other mailbox (could possibly be calculated per minimap tile)
Anyway, this is just an idea, so basically if someone wanted to remove the risk of leaving their base they could trade safely from behind their walls, (at least items that can be put into containers) it would just be an optional thing people could spend money on which helps out the Devs, and if people are willing to shell out the cash, keeps them/their valuables safe from robbery on the road.
Let me know what you guys think, and feel free to add your own ideas to it!
