We all want them to have a use. Put your ideas here and maybe one will finally get picked. I'll try to keep this list updated with all the suggestions. Some of these are taken from this 2017 thread viewtopic.php?f=48&t=54404&hilit=bloody+rags

Sure boil the bloody rags to clean them, or make a wash basin/washboard to clean them. Although soap makes sense, it's also really expensive considering that gauze only costs 1 wool, so maybe just boil in a cauldron? Or have the player 'craft' it at the cauldron, making a passive thing into a manual cleaning process.

When they're cleaned, they should transform into a new item: "Wet rags". The transformation procedure of 'bloody rags' to 'wet rags' should halve the original quality.
Wet rags can be dried on a drying frame for ~4 hours to reproduce a new gauze.

Originally after drying on a frame I thought it would be cool if instead it turned into a 'clean rags' item (which could also be crafted from a loom independently from the gauze method to preserve quality) but I couldn't think of a good use for it. It can't be used as a 'cloth' because wool cloth already exists (and it's a lot more expensive than gauze). Optimally you would want to use it to clean stuff but... yeah. Maybe as an ingredient for torches? Oil lamps? gilding? Either way, not a really good idea.

If there was some purpose or reason for 'clean rags' to exist in the game, then maybe soap could be reintroduced.

I want to add a new suggestion for bloody rag cleaning.
1. It must be a cleaned in a tanning tub filled with a salt water for a some hours.

2. Next wet clean rag must be dried on on drying frame.

3.????
4.Profit!

You know, after some thought, this whole system is kinda pointless. Gauze is just one wool lol. Idk though, bloody rags are in the game so why not. Maybe just make a new cloth called "bloody cloth" made by stitching 8 bloody rags together or something. If you apply it to stuff it makes it look bloody, like bloody bed sheets or bloody sails or something. Just a decent larp thing.

It does. Not a pointless. One wool for each player.. And how many bloody rags produced. And this is a not cheaty process and not very complicated for reusing of rags.
