combat and hunting is unnecessary complex and tedious

İ dont understand how does combat work in this game. 4 colurs, cards and stuff... why dont you make it like left clik for targetting and right click for attack maybe some special attacks from credos like a rts :D let the character stats and the equiment clash and dont waste my brain cells.

About the hunting what the hell is that you need to 1v1 to hunt a bear?? How does that work we should be able to hit it with something pointy and follow it from safe distance or track it untill it collapses. Now you need to cheese it a very strange and idiotic ways or you need to wait for to be able to meele the animal 1v1 what are we? The hercules reborn?

Understanding how to fight take time and effort to learn. Once you learn it~ it's easy.

Do you really think the stats/gear competition wastes less brain cells than the 4 color combat system?
Stop being limitado, the system is not that complex, just learn it.

Haven is just a simple game mascarading as a complex one.

is there anyway to fix 1-5 hotkeys being replaced with combat hotkeys, something that keeps hotkeys consistent ? I've tried rebinding but almost every letter on the keyboard has a shortcut already and glitches combat keys?

most random letters have adventure/crafting reciples and are higher priority than combat manuevers bound to the same letter

This is very limiting

Some custom clients allow you to rebind.

it actually is

all these retarded colors, numbers, stats, moves and how many you have of each move (like, the fukc? lol), initiative, triangles, coins, AC are definitely just a lot. half the moves you get from genociding land animals.

then there are the immutables which are unique to this game like movement, loss, risk, panic inherent to haven, not unique to fighting mechanics but things people honestly suck dick at

bring back legacy

4 colours bad, 10 attacks limit bad, targetting is bad, not being able to inspect your opponent bad (it's okay if you just disable PvP and make haven some kind of free build social game moderated versus griefers), inflation bad, control during combat is bad, combat math is bad, maybe patch with 5th root here and there will fix everything

card collecting combat moves good but unfinished

I eventually just accepted that 1-5 is effectively reserved for combat UI. Switched my two most used Actions (or rather, the ones I think I need to have at the ready all time; Lift and Destroy) from 1 and 3, to F1 and F3. Some civil actions that realistically aren't to be used in combat are hosted in 1-5. Note that this may cause a different issue if you spam certain combat key, combat ends, and you press the non-combat version. Be careful on what you choose to bind in 1-5.

Related issue is the Action menu being clunky even at the best of times - I shouldn't have to worry that, because window X may steal my cursor (appears, becomes the active window, doesn't actually have its own text field; cough cough Lure Fishing menu) I start browsing Action menu instead of typing in a text field, and thus may accidentally cast a spell Y that costs up to thousands of EXP.
