A lot of people agree with you about the fact something need to be done about veterans killing noobs and hurting the game long run , myself included.
What you fail to realise though is that your idea is shit and it's a complex subject.
No the random thought you had in the shower wont solve the problem.
And yes the issue is discussed, almost every days at the start of a world.

The level of discussion here is breathtaking. I'd rather act on a bad idea than do nothing but shit-talk and pontificate on why all change is impossible. Anyway, it's in J&L's much more capable hands, so who cares.

I honestly really gave up on earnestly pursuing this sort of discussion a while ago because the same people will reduce everything to "but bots/alts" to the level of absurdity to basically prevent any change ever to the status quo

I'm very much in the camp of trying to find a solution but when the N th spruce got ganked and complain on the forum while thinking he has the mirace solution get a bit tiring.
OP seems to believe an alt can only be annoying while trepassing, so there isnt much to discuss.

thats the point. every idea they had so far to disentivise killing spuces yours included, did in fact not affect the "pvp elite" , the titans, with whole botfarms stuffing their face never was effected by and noob protection ,

whereas the spuces and the intermediate players, get constantly fucked by the systems in place to protect them.

for example: crimeskills are expensive, to give people at worldstart some leeway to get into hiding, start the palisade process, because you have to rush the skill if you want to bash them, and chances are, some experienced hermit player, just dumps unarmed and is able to defend himself, since you just dumped the equivalent of 20+ua intoo rage.

on the other hand, spuces cant defend themself in spuce on spuce crimes, without wasting lp on a skill, that they are never using. or if someone just sets up a bot that logs in every 7 hours and bashes all claims it sees.

what you are proposing, would only worsen the gap between spuces, and low effort alts, but do nothing, to keep you save from one of the 3k stat characters employed by gankers stealing blueberrys of your dead body.
