Also crafting stinging poultice, you have enough for say 4 of them...

But unless you very carefully craft them 1 at a time it'll try to use the nettle as the string.

can crafting get the QoL it desperately needs in a survival crafting game
in addition, internal mechanics desperately need to be tweaked so that when an ingredient can potentially fulfill two different uses in a recipe (i.e. stinging nettle as both string and nettle in poultices and flipper bones as both flippers and bone material in atavisms) that it defaults to the more specific use of the ingredient ALWAYS and will not be used before other actual string/bones/etc???

Even better if it would show stats for precise ingredient set which current char already crafted once. Somewhat like alchemy(?). Exact stats can't be known before crafting, but FEP percentage and Hunger probably can. Would save lots of tedium figuring which ingredients/spices are optimal.

Something similar for smoking would be awesome too. UI-wise maybe right clicking smoke shed with meat on cursor opens popup with known smoking results per wood type.
