Play Dead Emote

I think it would be hilarious if there was an Emote that allowed you to pretend to be dead.

Support only if the emote is locked behind a 250K LP skill: 'mimicry'.

It should turn you into a skeleton that's missing its skull.

It could be good to attempt to trick aggressive, non-scavenging creatures like the bear and moose by playing dead. Maybe also a duck call to startle ducks from tall reeds or the neighbor's tabbed-out farming alt.

I was cracking a joke regarding the recent addition of the Chess skill, a vanity skill with a ridiculously high LP cost.

But your post reframed this topic for me. Play dead, and making various animal calls, would genuinely be pretty fun for LARP and PvE. Especially if animal logic were improved, such that new and less exploitable behaviors were added; for instance, a hungry bear might come investigate you while you're playing dead, and you have to make a will save or whatever to avoid aggro.

TL;DR a genuine +1 now, with PvE in mind.

Only if there's a timer that's displayed, and if it expires, your character actually dies.

It wouldnt work, clients would be able to tell instantly. Cool idea though.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.
Enderclient has trouble telling whether the skeleton on my mannequin stand is a player or not. :)

There are ways and means. But besides that, playing dead doesn't have to work on players to be cool.

There already is one. It's called 'Energy', and deals Starvation damage when it drops below 2000 units.
