Yeah, the hanging is not entirely optimal, but I'm not sure what would be better.

Can't you make it face forward? If the face is visible, it should be more obvious that it's a skull. Something like this would be nice:

But that makes no sense. How do you imagine the skull being attached to the wall? If the base of the skull simply hovers over an abyss?

There is already a skull pole in the game, doe.

You hang the skull forward-facing using the foramen magnum, where the spinal cord attaches to the brain stem. It's a big damn hole in the base of the skull.

They would just have to be tilted forward a bit for it to make sense spatially.

Perhaps you could add shelves for such objects, allowing for more decorative options.

Well my good man, you make it a craftable wall-hanging that retains the name of its owner when right-clicked to view. And add like, shift-right-click to remove it.

A board, some leather. Voila!

Or this.
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.
