Some Cooking ideas

Postby Redlaw » Fri Jan 15, 2016 6:56 pm

This post is a random set of food items, and things to deal with food and cooking.

First I would like to suggest we have the option to pic a Favorite food. Easiest way to set it up is to make is a right click on something we can craft. But that could be done for any food item any place. It would show up as part of are card, and well it could give a small fep boost, or even a condition for having are favorite meal.

Second I would love to suggest a candle item for the table, so we can eat by candle light. This is mostly for show, but even the small touches can make a big difference. It should be as much about the states as the feeling eating in the game is fun and can even invoke a few emotions.

Third, well more table cloths and napkins. So this would mean ones made out of Hemp and Wool to be added. With wool possably accepting the image thing, so people can make custom table cloths and napkins.

and finally a few more food ideas.

Hop salad
Leaves, Hop cones, and vinegar

(This Salad is made around where I live, its not common, but a few Brewery related eating places make it.)

Cucumber Salad
Cucumber, leaves, honey, and milk

(Thought this would be a good added way to use cucumbers)

Heart Cake
Any red Berry, flour, water, honey

(With V-day coming thought past the candle thing it be a good thing to add for that theme.)

Thanks for the suggestions. I like some of them!

Been thinking on it for a while with the main suggestions. With the need some ideas to make it better and so on, felt like a good time to post them.

Plus I never have had a hop salad. But I have seen it made. The hops in part are in the dressing with a few to eat. It be a great thing to have hops like that.

Ton of new food would be nice.
For example you could really have variety of food.

I am all for new food, but it seems to be the feasting system needs to be changed with it. At this stage there are a few key foods that are used in mass, and the others (i.e. most) are really ignored. ROBs, Cheese, Apple/Pumpkin Pies. So is a dozen more foods nobody will use worth the effort at this stage? Just wondering.

Why I think I keep making food suggestions to improve the variety of it out there in some areas or the experience. Yes I have a few other ideas, but limited game time means I am focusing on many other things then just playing and thinking what I would want in the game lol. So I let ideas stew till there ready. I had other food item ideas, but I lost them for now.

Edit: I am eating a lot of the new foods, some I need to make more of. Tuber mash and redshred salad being one the main new items I am eating. PLus Liver and onions and steak and tubers. But not a lot of time to bake so I cook what I can.

Personally I think jorb and loftar should close the sub-forums and take focus on the top piority stuff only for a while. Ur suggestins are good but there is a other stuff they need to focus on first.

Fruitsalad:

We got grape, apples, pear, cherries, plum and add whipped cream (with milk directly from a cow, separate cream from the milk (top layer))

More variety more we can use the food variety bonus, and so on. Plus small updates can be as big for one person as the large ones that are coming. That new pie can be as fun to someone as a new way to kill people that bug you.

Ya I agree with Char as a main stat for the fruit salad, Can, Int, and Wisdom as a likely secoundary stat. Hell Psy be cool.
