parry and shield should cost coins + new melee defences

title ->
shield up - 2 coins
parry - 1 coin
these moves are the best defensive moves in the game right now and you can mindlessly spam them all the time thus making the ua build complete crap
and in a mc vs mc fight it makes almost impossible to kill each other because you can spam the heck out of these moves.
this would balance out the ua and mc builds

'Balance out' as in, completely render melee useless? Does melee even have any other blocks than those two?

make some new melee defensive moves similiar to what ua has - that are not so OP as parry/shield - that would compensate the change.

Dole wishes jorb would tell us what he has in store for combat.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Give 2h users(b12, spear) moves to break through shield. Then make knuckle a weapon slot item and give it moves against 2h users. Nerfing parry and shield up is like putting a band aid on, it will come off if you play in the mud enough.

Why should ua be equal to mc? U are using ur fists, u shouldnt be that strong. Would love to see more variety of weapons and diferentes maneuvers for them, that would be
great

Even Musashi recommends punching in some occasions during a sword fight.

But yes, it would be nice if UA and MC moves required different character builds in order to reflect their completely different training disciplines, such as using psyche and strength respectively.

Way too much. IMO all that's needed is slight cooldown reduction on UA defences to make it comparable to MC. I was going to suggest making Parry green/red, but then Steal Thunder would just completely shut down MC builds :/
