Would it be at all possible to be able to make gauze out of silk or linen as well as wool? Or maybe even add cotton as a crop to make gauze out of, since traditionally it was made out of cotton rather than wool. And Cotton was available to Europe in the time this game is evoking. Perhaps make it a lower grade healing item or something to compensate for being able to grow it instead of requiring you to tame a sheep?

Also would it be possible to be allowed to use taproot or other kinds of root to make rootfill? Or is the point that the strange root has magical properties to it?

are you aware of poultices and that you can use clovers on wild sheep to sheer wool?

I know of poultices, yeah, but those don't cure some of the more serious wounds.

Also you need four leaf clovers to shear wool from wild sheep, which are extremely rare.

That's legacy only. Regular clovers are working now.

four leaf clovers are a curio, regular clovers are for using on animals to get wool and milk, or to allow you to rope them and bring them back to tame.
