Selected Speed affect crafting and other actions

Postby evilboy666 » Sat Apr 02, 2016 5:33 pm

So can the Speed we have selected affect our compatible actions like crafting, harvesting, building etc. In the way that crafting speed being directly proportional to the stamina drain during the action. So crawling speed actions up to sprint speed actions.

So lets say im harvesting my crops in real life. If i would run to every crop-harvest them like flash, The task would be gone so much quicker than normal. Although i would be wasted, wasted a lot of times if its a big field stamina 0 several times. But if i would be slacking during the harvest, walking or like crawling to the next crop, only applying enough power to harvest the crop and so on.. In the end, the task would have took a very longer time to finish. But i would be just okay in health and stamina.

Why cant we decide between these 2? Whether i want to save my time, or my stamina?

I think that ''do not give the players the option because the botters can also become given the option'' is an argument for compelling.

assuming that walking is the current base speed for harvesting crops, this would make the scythe pointless wouldnt it?
Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.

Neither do figuratively and literally.

Don't think so, maybe in sprint mode it can just run over the crops without an animation and crops are in your inv :D

I think everybody would be doing everything at run/sprint speed, the delays would have to be balanced to account for that (or it'd have to be disabled for things like mining and farming), and overall it would just add to the tedium of recovering stamina and energy.

Scythe should, instead of the current time compression, process the three tiles infront of you in one swoop (as the animation implies).
