Satiation Decay

Satiation should decay over time. It doesn't make sense that hunger decays but satiety doesn't.
It's annoying when I finally decide to feast on my crafter, the satiation is all still there from the last time.
I thought it would be easy to reset them with drinking, but instead all it does is reset the other drinks while the food you want to reset is still just as fucked. I can't imagine how brutal this is going to be at the beginning of the next world where you have an incredibly limited access to a variety of food.

Honestly, the satiation system as a whole just feels punitive, tedious and frustrating. I envy the ones who capped their stats during the introduction of feasting.

I think the idea of drinking different beverages to boost your FEPs is fun and interesting. I was even pretty optimistic about the new drinks; however, it just feels like another hassle stacked into feasting. Navigating the labyrinth of satiation and foods trying to figure out an efficient way to grind out stats is just another weight stacked on the fun vs frustration scale. And it's not on the fun side.

can drink beer for 10minutes
has over 120% satiation on sausages for weeks eating mostly sausage regularly

and satiation sucks for fish

26% meat 68% sausage , no beer yet and I need str , now feel my pain :D

I made the huge mistake to go on a eating spree and devoring yellowfeet for diversity at each lvl up without looking closely to the very small icon/
I've got 68% sausage for 2 weeks because of stupid elk sausage that I ate when I woke up after the patch ..., I had no hop cone ... so I have to wait 2 weeks for beer ( I should have it soon ... )

I play solo , but I play a lot , I made some noob mistakes (not paying attention enough , not reading the forum every time I wake up , not using a magnifying glass to look the stupidly small icon ) but man it's really a huge pain in the ass ...

It was to promote diversity right ? yup .. never again ... from now on I'll only eat the same food over and over ... same berry , pie , sausage , etc every day.

Disagree that feeding alts should be easier. The satiation system is bad, yes, but changing it in this way doesn't help people's mains.

Oh fuck off. Anyone who has a crafter and fighter on the same character is a dumbass.
And for what it's worth, I consider my crafter my "main." So yes, it would help my main.

Jeez that's a touchy fella.

On the topic, satiations should decay, yes, at least at the rate hunger decays x2. Right now people are punished a lot if they don't diversify foods, and rewarded a tiny little bit if they do. I strongly feel that it should be the other way around: bonus for diversifying (not talking about drinking bonuses!) should exceed just "being able to eat stuff normally".

I'm not coming from a position where I would be adversely affected by this at all; I have a lot of specialised statted alts and don't feed them every day. Do you think that the system should work to punish those that do only use one account? From what I've read, Jorb and Loftar seem to promote as few accounts as possible.

Additionally, hunger is already timegated, so why should satiations also be timegated? It doesn't add anything other than complexity in that case. This is why I think your idea doesn't address the satiation issue appropriately.

niglets whining that stat cap is too easy to get and now when a feature gets introdouced which makes getting stat cap harder niglets still whine
