Making farming more extiting/harder

Postby Redlaw » Mon May 16, 2016 10:05 pm

While this would be annoying at first for many, likely screw with bots over all, but it make the people that once they got used it. Even farming would be as fun as hunting... some of the time.

Things like squirls attacking your trees and running off with there seeds (aka its food for them).
Crops having crows (or like winged animal) come down and start eating them.
Rabbits or gofers digging into the farm and causing issues. (yes I have seen that cartoon gofer thing where they suck an edible plant down to them to eat in real... was weird).
Plant growing issues, a layer of fugues ect... Nothic like waking up to see some whooly cover or your carrots as some mushroom grew quickly to get its meal.
An Ahid attack.... the plant suckers drinking up the vining plants (pumkin, grapes, cucumber ect...).

Countrs being added like needed ladybugs (so there more usefull then just studing), scarecrows and so on....

Many fo these events do not need to be very common, but just happen once in a while,

I also love to see farm produces stock piles become trash ones over long periods of time (like one real month(. as the crops within rot... still could be used as anaimal fodder.

This sounds awful and may as well be an addition to the "Add A Tedium Mechanic" thread.

Even if these things had a timer where you had to shoo away the wildlife or w/e it would likely still be randomized per tile and depending on how common it is to happen and how big your fields are that could either be good or terrible

it would not be fun
it would just make farming more annoying and make people quit the game - the sad truth
There was a wise soviet conscript that was surrounded by the enemy on the battle of Stalingrad. A mortar shot teared his pants apart causing a big hole in his pants right on his right butt cheek. He felt a glorious cold ass breeze of wind on his butt cheek, like it would be sent by stalin himself, he said - hide your butts

This idea is one I am wearing to even post... it was this or describing timmy issues for eating food (o that list...). But its to keep things inserting, even if any of those events happened once a month in real life time... it make a difference. But its just there to make even the most basic task more alive... just hopefuly not annoly enough it makes everyone want to scream.
