Let runestones be carved out from cave walls

Subject says all. Not really necessary for day-to-day life but would be nice.

Move a boulder into the cave and carve it in there.

Easy peasy.

Maybe if we can make boulder from cave wall tile. Then we can get this runestone function for free as well as use this rock for decoration.

There are boulders in caves though ... or do you mean the runestone would be in the cave wall, like part of the wall after completion? Only that would be pretty cool. :)

I don't need it fixing, but thanks anyway, lol, I think it would be cool to see carvings in the wall. :D

I mean if we can't find the colour of boulder on the surface but have found that colour of stone in the cave. I didn't mean carvings on cave walls, but that could be a thing too, cave directions would be nice.

Yes, that would be nice. And it makes a lot of sense.

In fact, all "carve-ables" should be allowed on cave tiles, like carving a new Quern and such.

As for carving/fortifying walls, that's SO Dwarf Fortress... But I love it <3
We should totally be able to carve inscriptions/decorations and fortify cave walls :3

Much slower than mining and would the smallest boulder size?

Then it needs to be really tiny, else you could multiply the amount of stone/ore obtainable from a single tile. Also what about quality?
