nerf salt
people currently can get max statted attributes in few days depends on how big their farms are
people wont be whining how easy its easy to get attribute stat cap anymore and overall salt is too op 2 ezy to get and it takes off 2 much hunger off your bar currently


My proposal:
make it as hard to get as icicles and make them decay in 2-3 days since people have literally cupboards of them right now

i still have a feel that loftar and jorb added salt for testing on their own private server and forgot to change to its real values before the world started and kept it that way smh

Maybe just add the "Dehydration" debuff after eating few pieces of salt in a period of time? It could, for example, double the amount of water required to get stamina up, and lower the LP received by 20% while active. That would force to choose a playstyle according to player's goals at the moment, not nerfing the salt, per se, but limiting it's consumption while actively playing/leveling.

nah that would just encourage alting and would keep you away from playing this game overall since your character would have this stupid debuff would make the game way more annoying and you would not want to play on the character on which you have eaten the salt until the debuff is gone

Which would, essentially, "nerf" salt more the more developed your character is (and as such the more active you need this character to be); and put a very good limitation on instant "re-building" a dead developed character back to it's values with access to virtually unlimited resources.

As for "alting", I doubt the current leveling and raising stats system needs any help "encouraging alting" as it is. If anything, it would encourage eating salt by small portions in a timed manner, as opposed to "eating 10 cupboards of salt and capping stats for a ragealt newly made character in an hour".

Come to think of it, I think Dehydration debuff should be stackable (like with smoking buff).

the hunger bar itself puts a limit which makes instant character rebuild almost impossible, but with the salt you can basically ignore the hunger bar and makes reaching cap stat very easy.
I basically feasted my character in few days up to cap stats, I ignored the satiations and hunger bar since I had unlimited access to salt and big farm production

there is already mechanics in games that make feasting attributes harder, but they are pretty much being ignored with the use of salt, because salt is being too easy to obtain. And I don't see how your proposal is better since it will just add another annoying and punishing game mechanic and making salt way more rare would give it a bigger value in trade and that is one of the main reasons these "resources" were made in to the game at all.

Just need to start fixing the problem from "root" instead of adding more punishing mechanics to it.

or make it easier to siege so people can contest the salt nodes make the salt spawn time known so people can fight for it problem solved
