The Curious Dice and Cards

Permit the use of pigments with dice to color both the pips and the die itself. Perhaps improve the die image somewhat (though presently it works acceptably) so that die can be colored as well as used in various games of chance.

Introduce cards in decks of any number. Allow players to use sketches to choose a back for the card, as well as a sketch for the front image. Cards can be removed or added to a deck at will, will permit the creation and sale of in-game playing card decks with custom images, tarot cards for fun and profit, and general LARPiness.

Potentially expand this idea to include a table where card games can be played. No rules, just a place to set down x # of cards and let the rules be adjudicated by those playing.

Also -> Chess boards where each set can be made from a stone of the builders choice, boards determine the 'frame' color, and two types of stones determine the black/white color.

I think adding the functionality to dice would be pretty easy and fun, given that they're relatively useless at the moment. However being able to roll them would probably negate the whole quantity of LP you get from them corresponds to their face value thing.

I like this one much. Tools for player games is good. It is working with previous suggesting too (necklace of fun):

  • Necklace of Fun - Player can use to play some games with other players: checkers, connect four, othello
  • Amulet of Occult - Gives some intelligence and perception buffs
    Diamond
  • Ring of Living - Player dropping below 10% hitpoints will teleport to hearthfires immediately
  • Necklace of Heals - Heals player for 30% hitpoints if hitpoints falls below 20%
  • Amulet of Might - Increase strength, MC, and UA

How will you all thinking about this one?

Maybe this necklace will be used for remote gameplay instead of enabling game outright?

You already *CAN* roll them. By dropping them in a container their face value changes... Until it becomes one.

Perhaps remove them as a curio? They suck anyway.

No offense, but I'm not really a fan of any more 'magical equipment' in the game. Though admittedly given the recent changes to gilding and what not... Maybe not as bad as it would have been. Just don't want equipment > stats. This isn't WoW.[/quote]

They'll only be fixed down to one in the study window should they have been removed from it, they still work as normal dice in any other container.

Because you can sit and play solitaire in game while chatting with someone with a custom set of in-game sketched HnH cards! :D
