Deleting/killing characters

Postby linkfanpc » Mon Jun 20, 2016 3:46 pm

Maybe somehow make it you can delete characters. It's super annoying when you have a ton of them, especially back in legacy.

Most of the time i'd make a new char, and realize i'm spawned in a really bad area, so i make another. It gets really annoying to buy Swimming for ALL of them and find a river to actually drown them in.

So, when i say delete, i more mean kill. When you delete a character, it dies. The corpse is laying there for anyone who finds it to take all it's equipment. HOWEVER! You CANNOT inherit that character, and as soon as the body decomposes, the skull disappears, to prevent people from creating alts, getting tons of LP and skills, and killing them. It would only be for getting rid of characters you don't need quickly and efficiently.

I'm not sure how this would do in-game, so gimme your opinions.
Total misplay.

I have seen forum user push for noose item. Maybe this can be a usage of it?

Killing characters in HnH is one of the easiest things to do.
Ants, boars, bears, swimming, starvation, leeches. You name it.

I think he meant it takes definetly too long time per character killed. Devs could just make us able to do it with two clicks.

Yeah let's have at least 3 ways of suicide!

- Noose equipped in both hand slots - allows new option when clicking a tree, "hang yourself", insta-death (prolly with a neat view left behind, maybe some unique lootable objects as curios). Noose is crafted from a few strings (easiest way for an unwanted character to end his life with taproots).
- Sharp instrument equipped - "cut your wrists", you start losing considerable amounts of HHP, energy AND stamina over time, cureable with a Gauze (the process should take some fairly random amount of time before actually stopping the bleeding, 1-5 minutes); if you manage to heal your cut wrists in time, but not before 10 minutes game time passed - you get a Lore proc "Poser" yielding 100 experience.
- Some non-edible berries + water - Deadly Poison, decays into Nasty Goop in an hour of game time. Can be used on anything edible, making the item "Poisoned" (also losing potency after a while), causing anyone who eats it to start losing HHP, energy and stamina, after a period of time after consuming (depending on that person's CON), with amounts lost starting small and increasing exponentially.

maybe this could be added, but i think it still takes a bit of time and we could do it faster with two clicks instead.

I think noose loses some majesty if it is not made from ropes.

Then we should have 2 kinds - "weak noose", made from 3 taproots, so new characters could easily hang themselves; this one "snaps" after character is dead, leaving an ordinary corpse; and then there's "Hangman Noose", made from ropes, usable only on a King's Oak, or a PIne, or other great and big trees; Hangman Noose, when used for suicide, shall allow the hanged corpse to remain on the tree unless taken down manually.
