Curiosities' lp

Postby Qeeet » Tue Jun 21, 2016 11:59 am

When I was foraging some stuff I thought like, why the hell am I doing this if i could use fockin bot?
I play mainly only one character. I do everything. I risk my life to get killed by those who fockin botting everything and the only think what they do is fighting and trading.
Now there is a thing, why not making forageable curiosities giving more lp to those who picked them up? (+15% lp ?)
How about to apply this to craftable curios as well? but giving less bonus (+5% lp?)

considering such a great amount of responds I can make a conclusion that nobody gives a shit, because of bots or foraging alts.

Don't bots pick them up as well though? I don't use bots so am not sure how they work tbh, but I assume even though automated they still pick them up ... ?

Your point in idea is an interesting one. I can see that you prefer actual labor by the player instead of bots being able to go around and forage for curios. However in reality, this idea does not work. I'm not exactly sure if the game can tell whether or not someone is using a bot or not, and if so, people would most likely easily get around it. The mechanic in the end would basically be pointless and curios would be buffed a bit.

Personally I think it will give some benefits to the hermits. It won't give barely any benefits to those who uses alts/bots, since theirs alts/bots are not farmers/fighters/or any other key role character.

Yeap bot do pick them up, but they won't study it (atleast, that's what OP thinking about). So suggested buff won't affect main character(s) of botters.
On topic - not good idea for me. It will hurt not the botters itself but mainly solo players with multiple characters. And it will add some unneeded variables for stuff to check. As for crafted curios, there were some discussions about "make farming of char affect the lp/h of "farming" curios" - but that's sucks too.
I personally play on my own (though I do have a my own village with CS in this world and a couple of friendly neighbours), but I do realize that village/grouping/roleplaying mechanics is vital for this game. And making some benefits to people who plays their single char as jack-of-all-trades is a little bit wierd in MMO (and even in just MO like H&H (without first M  )) game

The thing is that Jorb wants that each real person had the only character. At least I made such a conclusion based on videos watched/forum read.

The problem is that community got used to having multiple characters throughout HnH development. And of cause people are rejecting everything what can change the system even a little bit.

I realize this as well, but tell me if you realize this why are you still playing alone?
The problem in this game that one person out of 10 wants to deceive/rub/kill you because it is fun to him/her. And because of such a person other 9 people don't believe each other.
I want to play this game with a group through, but I can't find anyone to play with.

You telling strange words for person who plays H&H for almost 3 years. Specified char are more vital in this game than any jack-of-trades. This is how the game worked for all time. No matter, are you playing as solo-farmer in friendly village, or you have alt-farmer in your own - it is allways more efficient to raise different character for certain jobs.

Because Im sociophatic and don't trust noone I do know good. That's my playstyle. I still find some trustfull friends every world among my neighbours, we can barter/gift/learn each other. But I'll never trust someone to make something vital for my base. That's biological, but Im okay with it, and so the game mechanic does.

No. 1 of 10 will definitely kill you on sight. 8 from 10 - will kill you later, they just not sure they can kill you right now. And only one won't kill you. Maybe he'll become your friend and maybe not. And that's okay.

Search for fitting persons on the Moot section, and you'll be surprized how easy it is.
