I would go even further and make a dependency between moves which player can get from Combat Discovery based on enemy type. Chops, Cleaves and Shield Ups from ants are no fun at all.
So that to get all kinds of moves player would have to kill all types animals many times.
On the other hand, providing some sophisticated mechanic to inherit some moves from ancestor would be great. (was discussed in another topic - Combat Manuals which only descendant can read).
