Passive animal behaviour

Postby jordancoles » Tue Oct 18, 2016 2:00 pm

I fully enjoy the perk of not having bats attack me while wearing a bat cape, but the tragic reality is that it now puts players into a position where they would rather not wear the other capes in the game at all because they lack this perk.
Hirdsman cape, bear cape, lynx cape, dev capes, etc. all go under-used because being agro'd by bats is just an annoying thing in the later stages of the game and most people would rather not deal with it at all.

I propose that animals that would normally be hostile (bats, boars, badgers) become passive once your unarmed or melee combat becomes double the animal's average quality.
It simply becomes annoying to have animals agroing you as you pass by in late game, and killing them just to leave them to rot isn't the best either.

Bears would always agro of course, same with trolls

Also make bats passable since being blocked by something that's on ceiling/flying is pretty retarded.

It would be cool is we could produce musk's that could so thing, either refined off animal skins/meat ect.... that makes are scent to said animals. If we smell like them they ignore us.... I am assuming this is how a bat cape works, as it is a nice perk, but I only wear my bat cape (it is also armor) when hunting or in caves. Otherwise I use what ever I feel is best.

or maybe gliding items that would have a perk like
"makes bats (for example) not aggro you"

Actually, it'd be cool if some of the gildings for tougher mobs had to be placed in the 2nd or 3rd gilding slot of the gear piece, so they'd be pretty valuable
