Client: Chat

Postby Kaios » Thu Oct 27, 2016 6:42 pm

I think this idea has come up before but if it had its own thread I wasn't able to find it. Since you added the map thing it seems you might be in the mood for some other client improvements and one good one I think would come in quite handy would be the ability to create (and keep after logging out) chat groups in the game.

This is in my opinion a better alternative to global chat as some people seem to be opposed to that so I think this is a fair compromise.

With the addition of Kingdoms it has become much easier to maintain several different villages with your friends and still all be in the same chat together. However, at some point I think people who aren't so "close" to you as your friends are going to want to partake in Kingdom chat too and in fact they most certainly should have the chance to voice themselves in some manner if they are under your claim. However, this means that the Kingdom chat could no longer be utilized between friends and villagers as a private place to chat.

Plz chat groups, thx.

I think as game grow larger, tool for organization should be part of game. Player can not be expect to use skype/discord for all communication (though many will any way). I think feature like this is inevitability.

Well, there's party chat atm I guess

Some support for discord/skype/irc chat rooms ingame would be cool

Lot's of UI work for marginal benefit. Made a note of it, but not in any rush.

Useless to focus on clients.
people use custom clients anyway
.Do something useful such as complete rework of hunting mechanics

Not useless...people should stop to use customs clients soon or later...any improvements to the client is welcome.
