Truthfully, it is a small thing, but I lean towards keeping coins as physical objects with weight and a stack limit under 1,000. It would be more "realistic", not that that matters too much.

Runescape is kind of in between. You can carry about... 2 Million in one stack? But it weighs nothing.
Coins should be heavy if you have even a thousand of them. I think we agree on this point...
