Constant Lag

Ok now I am just a new player to this game and so far the game experience
has been less than good.

The lag is absolutely horrible on this game I am getting a ping of anywhere
from 150 MS to about 200 MS

I am finding the game play in the game to be very choppy and laggy.

There is no issues here on my side before you try and blame my connection
there are no connection issues on my side I can run speed tests all day long
and they all come back fine I can play other games fine as well including
Star Wars Galaxies and other online games with no problems what so ever
the only gave I am having issues with is Haven and Hearth.

This is something server side. You guys really need to fix your servers
or whatever the lag issue is.

Right now the game really isn't all that playable. This isn't a good
first impression to leave with a brand new player on this game.

Please fix your servers immediately. This is nothing on my side
but is server side.

I'm fairly new as well, so I understand how you feel. But perhaps you could support the game with a purchase and help them buy or upgrade their servers for the free game you just started playing.

edit: just to be clear, I'm not trying to be a dick, but if you're going to make demands to fix something "immediately" in a free game you'd better have some significant capital (social, political, or financial) to leverage against them, otherwise you're coming off as entitled. Does the game have problems? Sure. Is this the way to fix them? Probably not.

To make it more clear I am pretty sure that haven & hearth servers are located still in germany( Hezner). Ping to germany from places like australia, china, usa. Might be quite damn high. Your internet or game servers do not really matter in that case. Ping is problematic in these chases. Due to thing called light speed.
People say that information cannot travel faster than the speed of light, even though I don't think so. Thus ping from another side of world would be theoretically at least 133ms. Assuming that there's nothing to slow down its way. Such as cables or excess turns. We also have to remember that lines cant be exactly straight, and there are some places such as routers and repeaters where it slows down even more. Also data inside cables probably does not go straight, due to earth being sphere and stuff. Which makes theoretical speed limit even higher.

And this is why we need regional servers.

Get a 5 Mbps or better cable connection and stop relying on PDANet or FoxFi. That'll cure your problems instantly.

This is something server side.

Ping time is a function of transmission latency between your host and the server, it isn't affected by the server (else everyone would experience what you do). The server is quite near of DE-CIX, which is the biggest internet exchange node on this planet, so it is unlikely that it'll be moved nearer toward you. In case you want to lower your ping toward it you could start by posting a traceroute to game.havenandhearth.com so smart people here could take a look at what your problem might be, apart from your location, and make suggestions for you to try to improve it.

And this is why we need regional servers.

Which would pose an, let' put it mildly, interesting problem in case you want to have one persistent world (and not the usual sharding/instances).

but even so i can't watch youtube and play anymore, other games i can do both, but HH eats up without constraint , loading anything in the map will also do this, so forget about running too far while doing anything with your hardware

either upgrade your hardware or get used to it
