More containers inside of containers

Postby jordancoles » Wed Dec 21, 2016 8:44 am

The gift box has gotten me thinking about the potential for more boxes that can be placed inside of other containers.
For example, it would be nice to have an inventory item with a 4*4 inventory so that we could do things like, prepare an entire study in the box. This would allow for us to make a cupboard of 'go-bags' for studying curios.

I think these containers could be very useful for situational inventory management

I was actually kind of thinking the same thing while I was adding the gift packages. If Jorb feels like making graphics for it, I wouldn't mind adding it.

yeah, I could see how it would be useful.

Not trying to hijack your thread, but in a similar vein:

could we have specialized container-in-container items, such as an egg carton? for example, a 2x3 egg carton can hold 1 dozen eggs.
I would love to see more objects like the quiver, which can store a specific type of item en mass, a carryable stockpile of sorts.

A way to label the containers so that we could easily identify whats in them would be neat too if it does make it in

I say it before and again, so I will saying it again and still. I like to see specialize container for all sort of item so that my building is not just full of cupboard! Extensions of this to inventory is good too I think. Having trade-off in effectiveness is more interest making than just carrying big leather sack.

Being able to make boxes and crates that can fit into cupboards or chests would be pretty damn cool, I think. Much better to be able to grab a box of meat, rather than to have to click each and every one out of my cupboard. Or worse yet, scroll it out and possibly get something I never intended to get.

You are much loved! Love in return!
