To be able to accept or decline Realm blessings

Postby dunno6988 » Mon Jan 02, 2017 5:11 pm

Jorb/lofter should be make players to be able to either accept or decline realm blessings when they are in the realm claimed area.
Since as a hermit who mainly focuses on stats that I earn through time and effort, find it annoying when I get random bonuses and this is different from gilding.
Therefore there should be an option, like a message pops up when I walk onto realm claimed land to either accept the blessings or decline. And when I reenter then the message in terms should pop up again. I am not sure how they could make it so that it is less annoying. But lets say that when message pops up and before the decision is made then there no blessings are gained and leave the message somewhere in the corner hovering or have a section to tick remember and then managed it in the options. I'll leave to you guys what would work bests.

Yes I get that it helps noobs a lot, but then what's the point of gaining lp if I could simply enter the area and gained like 100 level in every stat?

I agree with this. I'm not personally one to turn down "free stuff from outside" but I can understand wanting to maintain the purity of what you've gained by yourself.

That's so true. Free stuff is great, but this merely depends on ones play style.

You do not get +100. The maximum bonus is equal to your base stats, so it effectively doubles your stats up to a certain point. If you're absolutely opposed to that, you can move elsewhere or live in a cave (where the realm effects do not apply).

Same, I already expressed my opinion in another thread awhile ago that the way realm buffs currently work is a bit dumb. Giving someone +50 to +100 bonus in several different skills is a huge advantage and mostly helps the strong become stronger and does very little to immediately benefit the fresh newbie or casual hermit and those are the people who should get the MOST benefit out of realms.

Here is my current buff:

Not as high as Dis but still pretty good considering all of the statues were built by me alone. The materials came from various places but mostly myself and my villagers provided the bulk of it. Many of the silver bars came from trade and I got a lot of notes and guano this way as well. It took a lot of time and effort just to get the bonus I have now and even I can agree that it's a bit ridiculous to receive this huge bonus in stats for simply standing on some claim.

I'd really like to see the bonuses move in a different direction, away from direct stat bonuses and more towards production boosts and the like. As it stands now, this mechanic gives the biggest advantage to the very first group/person to setup a kingdom and start expanding and building buffs. Most people will move to that area or request to be covered by it to receive the bonus and begin helping out that kingdom because there is currently no variety at all between the kingdoms and in what can be provided to the subjects.

As far as moving elsewhere goes, a cairn covers a 2x2 mini-map grid sized area and each cairn adds 5000 to the max authority cap. My auth cap is 3,185,000 (initially starting with a cap of 100k-250k I think but I forget now) meaning I have built about 587-600+ cairns. You can move as far as you want but it seems to me someone will find you eventually. You can also extend the influence underground.
