Make satiations less annoying

Postby MightySheep » Fri Feb 03, 2017 10:41 pm

So basically satiations are the most cancerous thing this world and in haven history. When people explain satiations to me I am reminded of computer science lectures , its the same level of tedium .

I have a few propsoals:

1) new magic resource like salt but instead it will restore satiations in a big way, like 30% to all when consumed.

2) tree quests version of hunger reduction for satiation

3) symbel/table should apply to satiations also

4) some sort of craftable item like vitamin pills to just forgo all the bs and raise them simply, not like milk or tea which is retarded

5) remove satiation from game

Satiations at least make sense in a "well I'm hungry but I don't want to see another lick of *x food* for the rest of my life"

With the ability to starve to death even with the bar full, Hunger is the real redundant cancer. Get rid of it and give symbel items satiation reduction instead, you could even have specialized feasting items or combinations of tables and chairs for certain types of satiations

Satiations could decay.
Like if you havent eaten any meat in 2 weeks, and you still hate it.
Its weird. Meat is good.

True

I'd eat meat forever tbh, maybe have some character preference for certain types of food. Although with some foods being better than others I could see every player getting the same preference for what foods are best for their stage in the game, but it's not like each food type is really specific to one attribute so it wouldn't quite promote balance slider-type alting

There already is a drinking mechanic to buff them back up.
But its shit currently.
Every satiation has to have a drink to raise it back up and then make drinks not have satiations.

On top of that decaying satiations and quest reward satiations are good too.

Current satiation system makes stats grow slower wich is nice. You forgeting fact that if there will be no satiations, stats will grow faster for everyone and if everyone is super - nobody is super. Only numbers will be higher.

I agree that they work sub-optimally, at least.
