Remove Ancient Roots

*insert op localized resource rant*
Yeah they completely remove the healing system for anyone strong enough to capture Windthrows, everyone else just gets dicked by the injuries like intended.

what does strength have to do with it smh any nab has just as good a chance to get them heh.. no one even walls these and i often find them ready and they go without being used because i never need them or know anyone who does but when u do get those shitty wounds like wretched gore i feel theyre NEEDED unless u wanna kill ur character xd

i have to say i find them pretty easy too mabye its a location thing but its not horriable everywhere at least

id personally like it see effect less wounds always leaving some of a certain type untouched mabye woulds slow the root game a little and make people branch out for healing needs

Nerf them? Jorb likes permanent damage and there needs to be some option for that stuff. 1hp healed per root? That or loftar needs to wrestle jorb away from the keyboard when deciding wound types.

It's simple. Localised resources should despawn after harvested and reappear somewhere else in the world where the usual timer starts again.

That doesn't entirely solve this issue. Ancient roots are really powerful, so even if they started vanishing the big boys would hunt it enough, or just buy it as needed, and still negate the wound system.

Debating if your suggestion solves other localized resource woes though. First concern is forage bots.

tbh these roots arent even that op idk how bad the wound system is since the update cuz i havnt taken much damage but i know that if you get a stack of wretched gore its going to take a SHIT TON of roots to heal it and these things spawn every 10 or so days only healing 10hhp each time!! i think theyre fine as is heh...

It's op for people who have 100hhp and are like 'damn healing 10hhp is 10% of my life' :roll:

It's op because it completely removes the punishment of slow healing wounds. 1hp per day for stitch patch? Ancient root heals at least 10 days worth per.

That's pretty op considering the framework of the game.

pretty sure a good q stitchpatch heals more than 1 like 2 at 40 3 at 90 etc although i get ur point!!! but with big wounds i think its still gonna be REAL SLOW even with the roots
