Make Traveller's Sacks act similar to buckets

I've started to enjoy the two traveler's sacks extra carrying space, but the very concept that you can't unequip them when there's even a single item in their slots is beyond annoying.

I managed to get attacked by a lynx randomly running towards me and I had to ctrl click drop 13 different items from my inventory just to equip my sword, which compared to the idea of dropping a bag and equipping a sword instead became really annoying really fast over the time I'd go outside to forage and then got into a battle situation.

Is there any possibility of making the bags work like buckets in that if there's something in them, you can't put them in your inventory (and in this situation I guess you also couldn't put them in storage) while it stores the things you have in it if dropped?
Or just flat out dropping everything that is in their slots if you unequip it?

That's actually what I was thinking about as well, would be great to be like that :D, but I assumed it would be pretty overpowered if you could fill cupboards with them for extreme amounts of storage

Giving them their own inventory would remove a lot from their usefulness. Dropping the items on then extra slots they give could be annoying at times, but would solve the issue with not being able to unequip them.

I'd assume you could only retain their inventory shape that they had while being held, which could be incredibly tricky to work around.

Which would be a problem as they're expanding the inventory in both dimensions and thus are dependant on the character that has them equipped. Also what to do with objects that intersect the border between the normal inventory and the slots granted by the sack?

still haven't figured out why they haven't made a hobo stick and sac, could call it poor mans sac or something, how to make it? ( use one stick and some leather/clothe/string)? make it so it adds 3 extra squares or something? idk but it would be carried just like travelers sac

It could give an additional column (or row, not both) to the inventory, but to make sense early world it shouldn't rely on cloth as that usually comes available later in the world than hardened leather (which is used in the tsacks).

True, maybe it could be made from dried hides or something then, didn't think about cloth being mid game. good point but would still be cool! seeing how they made a cheaper back pack they should have cheap travelers sac
