jorb wrote:You are making it a far bigger issue than it is. We haven't changed our philosophy on the matter, because we have never had an explicit idea that all combat should be avoidable. That being said, you can certainly avoid slimes as well by not going deep into mines.
Also, why don't you just pick up a sword and learn to spam them to death? If you're mining then that shouldn't be a problem, and they're not particularly tough.
