Remove the cooldown when initiating combat, at least for PvE.
The animals don't have it, why should the players?

Also the reason for initially implementing it (insta-chop when the other hadn't had time to setup any defenses) is long gone as the mechanic has been reversed (we start with full defense) since then. Quite a long while ago. Really long ago.

@Jorbtar: There isn't any need (nor any good argument) for this, remove this wart.

There also should be no cooldown for swithcing weapons in PvE. Its very annoying when you dig out tons of slime, and waiting 6 seconds to switch from pickaxe to a sword.

I don't agree with this, making a special case for PvE complicates things.

Reasonable would be to get one free (no-cooldown) equipment switch in case combat is initiated while your character dosn't have a weapon equipped.

not a good idea everyone would start combat with sword and switch to b12 for cleave moment. cooldown is a good nerf for this.

but Granger specified that if YOU DO NOT HAVE A WEAPON EQUIPPED.

Eventually have only 10 seconds to swap from non-weapon to weapon, so it doesn't get abused by UA.

That's why there is 10second time to change without CD, so it works in PvE (mined slimes / ambushed by cave lice) but doesn't change much in PvP itself (I doubt it matter for gankers if they have weapon visible or not)
