What would be more reasonable?

Gems are reasonable. It's all the other professions which lack equivalent shit that make them comparatively OP, especially since mining is already worthwhile because you need ingots for tons of high-end stuff.

I don't see the issue here, although that might just be because Miner is a job/profession that can be done 24/7 without waitwalls (but that's a good thing jorb pls no change).

Not to mention that Gem cutting is incredibly annoying, time consuming, risky in terms of upgrading and getting them in the first place is a pain because of the sum amount of slimes you're going to be pooping out.
So again, I don't see the issue here aside from maybe certain other curios also getting buffed.

they seem pretty balanced in the fact you have to choose between gilding or curio

They should be scaled so a perfectly cut Jotun yields like a golden egg, IMHO.
The list contained plenty of gems yielding way more than a golden egg when I looked at it the first time, so my guess is that it now only shows the value for small ones.

Mining as a profession is in a good spot right now. Feels op because other activities don't have so much going for them.

exp cost & study time scale too (like LP & weight) as option.

i have not seen any gold egg in the last 3 worlds (jotun size gem - every 3 hrs), needs to compare spawn (difficulty in obtaining) of farmers curiosity with miners curiosity . (and dont forget: that is the best curio in game)

i love LP boost, but to make it fair to all professions - pls make spawn of
"Gold egg" "River Pearl"
"Wierd beetroot" "Ant Empress"
"Cruel Splinter" "Ruby Dragonfly"
"Dark Heart" "A Talking Whale"
every 3 hrs (like jotun size gem) or once per day at least
