Turning off wandering for horses

Postby Hollogodis » Sat Oct 28, 2017 7:27 am

So just a small thing, would be nice to make your horse NOT wander around after dismounting it, very anoying when u jump off to pick something up or do something and the horse wanders off. And yes i know theres rope but it takes up inventory space and its not always u have one with you.

Would be nice if we had an emote that could be used to summon the horse over some distance... Whistle?

It's so annoying when the second you demount your hosre it sprints off in the opposite direction.
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

Yeah, this has been asked for before and I support it. It doesn't even make any sense, when you get off your horse in rl it will just start munching on the first bit of near-by grass! Lol.

I would understand it in a battle situation or during combat with an animal, but otherwise, it should just stay put. I'd also like to be able to call it to you, a whistle emote seems like a good way to go about doing that.

maybe it could be a "tameness" modifier next to endurance stamina metabolism.

0 tameness means it walks where it wants
100 tameness means it has absolutely no motive of its own, and will stand still

Equip rope on horse as reins, when you dismount you automatically take the reins, ie the horse will follow you until inspected. Basically same as normal leashing, except the rope is on the horse instead of your inventory.
