Salt rework

With salt being so OP in the early world I personally think it should be reworked to work more like pepper, Grind salt up and put into salt shakers on a table to reduce the amount of hunger increase. no more eating it

That would be a start, but in the end the whole feasting mechanic needs a nerf to keep the obtainable cumulative boni at a reasonable level (which they currently are not).

Belongs, indeed, to a more general rework from the ground up of all the food and hunger effects.

Should happen before the next world reset, preferably together with a revisit of all the quality inflation issues (that the last ones, and the current, had) so we don't end up (again) with a world containing overpowered quality within the first few weeks.

This. Do it before a reset (although there has been zero confirmation about actually having one planned)!

The spitroast update gave us a massive jump in ash q and therefore it was a buff to bone clay q/kiln q/tar kiln q/planters pot q/potterswheel q/etc which affects basically all other industries and qualities in general

I think salt as an item is wasted on it being a local resource; there are so many cool things that could be made if salt instead was something that you could extract from saltwater or find and mine underground and was instead measured in kg, functioning as a sort of miner/gatherer equivalent to pepper (buffing pepper as well), and having it in recipes and such.
