cave plants do not replensh their seeds at all. so if a cave is explored the first week of the game and someone takes all the poppycaps, and a newbie explores it a year later, their will be no poppycaps for them to take.

i find this kinda sad. would be nice if they replenished just like a normal trees does.

They work identical to the surface ones, for some weird reasons there just isn't any decay in the lower levels.

this actualy helps to encourage exploration and adds in the possibility of finding some place you like better.

Fixing it would imply implementing decay in caves. Not sure aboot dat.

Don't know why there isn't decay in caves.... just seems wrong.

Or change the tree restocking to be timer based (attach one when product is picked, remove it when fully restocked).

I would prefer decay being fixed.

I've kind of liked being able to store shit in caves early world, but perhaps I should just man up and get a claim in that case.

I could be behind a significantly reduced level of decay in underground areas, but absolutely none just doesn't make sense from the perspective that the server will eventually revert, more or less, to an untouched state if enough time passes. There will always be signs that civilization once existed there, but nothing should last forever.

That said, I'm with Granger and about everyone else on getting trees, shrubs, and such off the decay mechanic. Maybe with seasons things can function as is reasonable, but until then, I shouldn't have to wait over a month for some of the shrubs and trees to get new seeds.

decay in unclaimed caves shouldnt be a big deal. even in early game, what are the newbies making containers of? easy to get shit like sticks. how is that a big deal to repair?

even if its not decay based, id like to see new shit in caves now and then.
Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.
