Pasta/spaghetti/pans with water

Postby Formosus » Sat Mar 31, 2018 8:58 am

What do you think guys about adding an opportunity to make a pasta/spaghetti using the wheat flour and then putting it into the boiling cauldron or the pan? My crafting recipe isnt perfect though :D but i think that this idea is pretty good at least because we dont have much usage for the wheat flour.

* Bellissimo!

I suggest "Tagliatelle" or "Lasagne" at this point.

Bread is all you need to make with flour, prisoner.

A bit modern?

I don't know the time period haven is set in, but pasta is a fairly old tradition.

Pasta dates back a good while, so maybe not too modern, but probably for the period Haven is supposed to be.

I've always found it annoying when games are supposed to be "fantasy based" and toss in things that are overly familiar and don't really fit the lore, period, or tech.

Well, to be fair I just read the Italian version of the wiki and contains way more details .... very interesting.
First evidence of pasta like, are from Etruscan, Romans and Greeks ... since X-IX b.c. ... the evolution of pasta has 2 origins, the italian one and the chinese one (noodles), both indipendent .... first evidence of chinese pasta is dated about 3800 years ago. Wow.

Also pasta was know as làganon by Greeks, makària by Etruscan and Italian population ( meaning in short food of the gods, for funeral cerimonies) and lately maccari from Latin that means press,push ... from how pasta is made, crafted ..... maccaroni!

Wow! I learned something new today! Someone should really properly reference that over to the English site.... Probably all references are in Italian or Latin and thus not properly allowed to be citations or something. (I don't know the Wikipedia rules well enough.)
