Snow stockpile size change

Postby Dakkan » Tue Apr 03, 2018 5:39 pm

Snow currently stockpiles into piles of 40, which I think should be increased to either 42 or 60.

Cold compress: 3 snow
Snow globe: 3 snow
Snowball: 2 snow
Snow Lantern: 6 snow
Snowman: 3 snowballs, 4 snow, 10 snow
Sorbet: I forget

Assuming you're crafting a bunch of one of these recipes:
Currently a stockpile of 40 snow can only be completely used for 4 snowmen or 20 snowballs. The other recipes in bulk will result with a remainder snow.
A size of 42 would result in a full stockpile being consumed for all recipes except snowmen. 60 would include the snowman recipe but I'm betting this will be too extreme of an increase. I'm also only suggesting values larger than the current stockpile size because I'm biased as hell.

This is similar to increasing the size of ore stockpiles from 70 to 75.

Will consider reducing them to 36.

Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.

Neither do figuratively and literally.

Well the guy failed to mention the other multiple that happened to be lower that works just as well.

I have to say I don't really see that there should be an intrinsic need for stockpiles to contain a common multiple of the requirements of all the crafting recipes that can be made from what is in it.

For more ubiquitous ingredients I agree, but snow is in only a few recipes, and I'm sure you can pull some statistics for which ones are most often made. I would guess 3x recipes, the compress and globe.

So I guess make the max stockpile 3/3!

Snow stockpiles should require glue. Due to snow smelting they can slowly sliding, so glue should prevent it.
