Remove building on mountains.

Remove building of these things on mountains:
brick wall, palisade, roads and hearth fires

Additionally next world could be divided by mountain ranges so different economies can develop in different regions.

That's cute. Honestly, not sure whether + or -.

Pluses:
-more mountain fights over local resources;
-there have been almost no fights over taking over villages that hold the local res., so it doesn't matter;
-more opportunities for opportunists!

Cons:
-larpers gonna cry, that they cannot build Wulf's retreats;
-people will still be able to use alts for checking mammoths and etc.

IDK whether roads removal is a good thing. On one side, people won't be peaking through them to safe teleport & harvest. On the other hand, it's super annoying to build roads around mountains.

A world split into shards by giant connected mountain ranges would make so you don't have to have a headache about building around the mountain.
Local communities with local trade and conflict.

i don't like solutions that punish everyone. i could get behind increasing the difficulty of building on mountains.

i sure as hell don't want the world split into various valleys that are a pain to escape from.

natural barriers create habitats for people to live in that give them an identity, evident in our own societies now. Thats why i agree that creating natural barriers, whether it be mountain ranges or oceans would not only be neat, but allow for the creation of true in game cultures. This of course leads into further topics, but i will still advocate world specific resources that perpetuate this idea, as it blossoms trade and self identity in the games world.

I personally believe next world the biomes need to be larger, and the rivers much much less.

i like Loftar's idea from last stream of civilization attribute around players activity

maybe his solution can prevent the vulgar attempt of simply making content inaccessible(this and many other threads)

to me Haven shines where every effort is worthy...

No building on snow but in hard rock mountain still be able.

Also, if You make mountains unbuildable, people will just use L1 or L2 undeground for easy road connection. Only have to be dig one time, not counting if someone sabotage.

What if mine levels underground of mountain are a different biome from regular underground acting similar with restrictions.
Right now the world is tiny if you know the roads or have charisma and all trade concentrates on one spot of the map. I would like to see that remedied.
An added bonus is possibility to fight for ice and other mountain resources.

That something but meh, You're just making a problem from something that isn't a problem imho.

You're trying to force regions and stuff, having a cool vision of region trading and stuff, but for fox sake, no. Even the biggest haven world I remember of, wouldn't be suitable for that, that's the first thing, for second, we don't have enough high stable player base to pull something like this. The only problem I have with mountains is littering V-claim over natural resources that are entirely a bullshit imho.

And if someone wants to come all the trouble of finding suitable place on mountains, run with materials a lot, then let Him do that. I have only objection building on snow. unless snow dedicated structures comes in.

It wouldn't mean you can't leave your area to go trade/do whatever elsewhere. It would just be something to make the world feel big again. Right now anyone can just use established road systems to get all over the world. Only bases I see on mountains are for resource claims. The game needs the mountains more than larpers.
There could be other natural barriers like thick forests or that legacy biome thicket.
