Lumber Stockpiles

Similar to the granary, we could use an immovable building where you place logs.

We've all experienced the nightmare of clear cutting a large area and stocking the fallen logs into long ugly rows.

These would add a cool aesthetic to the game, as well as serve as a practical application. Could hold like 20-30 logs and really clear up some space. Maybe even different size stockpiles.

Ideally the graphics of the model would be updated for each log that was placed, so you could visually see exactly how full it was.

Interaction would be similar to the wagon or shed for items, but with further information on name, quality, and icon color of the log perhaps.

Here's an image from the game medieval engineers, as inspiration.

Has been recommended before. Still a good idea.

I dont think that one would even need a structure for it
We should be just able to pile logs in piles.

I don't mind log stockpiles as long as those aren't as easy to make as block stockpiles and maybe are solid structures that require a rope to be build up.

Why would you think this needs rope to support? They're KINDA round, so they stack. And the fact that they're only KINDA round means you can, generally fairly easily, make it so they don't roll out of a pile.

Of course, stacking barrels should require some kind of structure, they're HELLA round.

Also true. Ugly workarounds are ugly.
