Bee Raiding Hearth Magic

Postby ZantetsukenX » Sat Feb 23, 2019 2:33 am

I've been struggling fairly hard to get bee larvae due to some fairly bad luck and thought to myself "I'd be willing to spend EXP on a spell if it just let me raid a hive without getting attacked". So I figured I'd suggest it. Could we get a hearth magic spell that you get when you take the beekeeper skill that allows you to essentially put all the bees in a hive to sleep (make it so none spawn while you raid)? I figure make it as expensive as some of the other spells, like around 2.5k. That way it's less likely to be abused and people would be slightly reluctant to use it often unless they are desperate like me. You can even keep it so the same odds of not getting anything from a raid still apply, so it still comes down to some luck. But this way you aren't having to deal with the luck of "Will only 1 bee come out or will multiple bees come out?"

But if you think in the end barely anyone would use it and it's a pointless spell, that's fine too. I'll get my larvae soon enough either way.

I think if a specific mechanic is hard/annoying enough that it makes you want a spell for it, the issue isn't the lack of spell but the mechanic itself.

I've met plenty of nublets and they all want to buy beeskeps, so I think this is definitely an issue since it's theoretically something they could do themselves without an insane amount of time sunk.
