We NEED a way to deter midges.

I know this is this umptillionth thread on this topic. But something needs to be done..They serve literally 0 purpose other than to aggravate us players.

Getting swarmed by midges? Welp I guess I'll either hearth home, or just log off for 5-10 minutes until they fuck off...

Exactly what we shouldn't have to do. It's easier to just log out for a few minutes, which obviously shows it's a horrible game mechanic.

Or you can just ignore them and heal any damage they do within 10 minutes. And unless you live right next to a swamp (you shouldn't and you deserve all the midges if you do) you see them pretty rarely, making them a non-issue.

this is their intent so if that's your whole issue devs' reaction to this will be job well done.

tbh like Orcling said it only truly poses a problem in swamps.

Screw it, why not add more annoyances then? Add burs, that stick to your equipment slots and need to be pulled off, damaging your clothes, and leaves scrapes and cuts.

I have plenty more ideas if you guys want, that can make things very, very annoying and add 0 to the gameplay. :D

You're comparing HnH to a competetive AAA game. Jorbtar don't care about this thing called "gameplay" The game used be a lot more "annoying", you joined in the era of casuals. The game has never been any easier than it is right now.

I dont have problems with midgets.
Thus they are not a problem.

This. Just let them bite you a couple of times and they will be on their way.
