Crows and Scarecrow!

Postby D0fuz15 » Sat Feb 23, 2019 10:32 pm

Add Scarecrow to the game to protect us from... those damn magpies, and add crows to make our life impossible in terms of farming, they ll appear to steal 1 of our crops and fly away as fast as possible.
It can be made of "X" Straw, 1 linen or hemp cloth and 2 blocks of wood, + you can put a hat to the scarecrow.

Squirrels stealing our stuff in the floor could be awesome too (?).
If the thing about the crows sounds too annoying make them appear only at night.

The idea has been suggested before, but my idea include hats ;) .

Crow´s Feather can be used for a new crafteable leather hat, or just use this image as an idea of how this can be a new gilding item.

Even with that awesome hat, fuck you from the bottom of my salemite's heart. We cried enough in other game.

I mean how bad can be 2 or 3 crows stealing your crops from time to time without a scarecrow

+1, because if there's anything I've learned so far while here, it's people love little mindless things like this that don't add anything but an annoyance.

get out of here with this nonsense, why would you want something so literally worthless added to the game? add scarecrows so theres a reason to add another layer of monotony and punishment which serves no purpose other than to kill the games population even harder? are you serious?

to be honest we already have magpies which are part of the Corvidae family of birds.

Crows seem to eat just about anything. According to "The Life Histories of North American Jays, crows, and Titmice", Brent 1946:
crows tend to feed on Insects (primarily beetles and their larvae and grasshoppers, locusts and crickets), spiders, millipeds, crustaceans, snails, reptiles, amphibians, wild birds and their eggs, poultry and their eggs, small mammals and carrion,May beetles, wireworms, caterpillars, grubs, cutworms, earthworms, clams, scallops, mussels, sea urchins, dead fish, marine invertebrates, dead seal, dead trout, garbage, road kill (including dogs, cats, chickens, opossums, pigs and skunks) snakes, slaughter house waste, corn, sorghums, wheat, apples, almonds, beans, peas, figs, grapes, cherries, various wild fruits (including sumach, poison-ivy, poison-oak, bayberry, dogwood, sour gum, wild cherries, wild grapes, Virginia creeper, and pokeberry), meadow mice, star-nosed moles, short-tailed shrews, cranberry, juniper berries, smilax winterberry, nightshade berries, barley, corn, buckwheat, pumpkin or squash seeds.

To be honest instead of crows stealing from your crops they should steal from your organic stockpiles you keep outside.

Calm down, another layer of monotony?, you have plenty of things to do eh, and must of the players here love to suffer by the things added that make our life impossible dont you read all the people asking for even more WoUnDs.

If the pvp rework did not kill anyone the last world, some sp00ky birds will not erradicate 1000 players

I think crows should steal from organic stockpiles and magpies from inorganic (nuggets, rocks, feathers . . maybe not ignots). I mean keeping things outside should have it's consequences, this is a wild world we're living in.
