might as well nerf all combat from all modes of transportation with that logic.

Well not really. I am just pointing out that its a bit dumb that 5 people in a knarr can chase and hit somebody in dugout boat.
Combat from wagons and knarrs should be disabled, I am not sure about the other boats.

You shouldn'ty be able to do any attack moves from knarr.

Yes I know that some fancy fighting mechanics for boats probably requires core changes to the servers code, but some temporary fix should be done to the current system. (ie. disable combat from knarrs)

For once I agree with shubla. Without a proper system, there should be no "naval" combat right now.

Well the other forms already have a "nerf" in them. Assuming anyone does that, if u use a wagon to chase someone, that someone could just kill your animal, preventing u from moving the wagon.

And horse combat, u can startle the horse, so that's a big deal. Or u can damage it enough that it drops the rider, causing him to get hurt.

Proper mechanic would be just run dugout over like a swan. Leaving the hearthling swimming. Just imaging shitstorm on the forums if it was implemented though...

Knarrs should just be a mean of transportation for now.
Naval combat can be added when there is some proper system for it.

Tempted to agree that knarr fighting is a bit dumb.

The question however is - how much it would change the situation on the screenshot? Knarr is faster, can block the path and there are several people in it. At best it would just delay the inevitable until there is another dugout on the shore...

Tempted to think you want this to be a non pvp game entirely.

Combat from knarr is not dumb at all, if you have inferior method of transporation then someone who is faster can catch up to you, deserved risk for not having proper vehicle yourself.

What do you suggest instead? Ask someone to go to the shore so you can hit him in the face?

This is not worth any attention it is completely justified. Perhaps, jorb need to tempt to agree that current siege system creates dead world instead, in terms of politics.
Bring back claim shields until a better solution comes because that's the real nonsense going on right now, Haven&CatchMeOutside because cannot siege realistically.....
