Falling Tree

falling tree should damage units, fences, palisades, houses, carts, crates, items that you cannot put log on top of.
that would encourage players to build palisades smarter, other people will abuse it to get into forts.

comment please

I think this is reason it is not in game.

come on.. players wont be able to bring tree and drop it onto the palisade.it is more than reasonable, weird is the fact that tree can fall on top of roundpole fence or chicken coop without doing damage, when you are mining you have to be careful, so you should be when building up, planning your fortifications

Anything that can be used to wallhop shouldn't exist.

We've been there before, due to how haven's walls are an "all or nothing" style defense it results in horrible things.

what wallhop ?

this palisade took "some" damage and is still getting "some" damage every 5 minutes, until someone removes the logs and fix it

no idea where you got wallhops from mate, hope that link above clarifies

Ah misread, lemme rephrase.

Anything that can be used to completely circumvent the siege system to break walls shouldn't exist.

As for realism, of course falling trees do damage. But would people find it fun? The game already has enough rough and tumble realities to contend with, not every horrible damaging thing from real life needs to be added. The odd break from reality is fine if it doesn't completely invalidate the experience, which I don't feel this does.

That said sometimes things get stuck in palisades. I think trees are mostly ok, but cave in rocks are an example. I do wish something could be done to fix that.

Do you want salem brazzers? This is how you get salem brazzers.

Amazing idea! Totally not exploitable in any form. We also can add caveins destroying walls, to make people pay for poor base planning, maybe even if someone rides a cart or wagon on the surface , it breaks the supports below them, and if it breaks the ground can crumble under them and they will destroy everyting beneath and also die from falling down! Would love to see that!

One person enjoying sleeping on nail beds doesn't mean everyone does though...
